The talented crew – comprised of William Welch, James Tucker III, Joe Vrobel, Chad Kloss and 2019 Regular Singles champion Mitch Beasley – started their run toward the first 10,000 of the year Thursday in Baton Rouge, recording scores of 1,109, 1,052 and 1,081 for a 3,242 total in Regular Team to move into fourth place.

Beasley led the charge in the final game, starting with 10 strikes before a 10 pin slowed him down for 289. Welch had 258, Tucker posted 257, Vrobel rolled 227 and Kloss closed with 221.
Tucker led the team with an all-events total of 2,092 and was followed by Welch (2,057), Kloss (1,987), Beasley (1,971) and Vrobel (1,946).
Mento Produce of Auburn, New York, had held the lead in Team All-Events since April 10 with 9,887.
Four of the five team members joined forces at the USBC Open Championships for the first time in 2019, which included a big run in minors to finish fifth in Team All-Events and Beasley’s win in singles with 812.
