Bowling's Veterans Charity to Benefit from Memorial Weekend Promotion

To drive traffic to bowling centers over Memorial Day weekend and raise donations for the Bowlers to Veterans Link, Strike Ten Entertainment will give bowling fans a free bowling game coupon and make a 25-cent donation to BVL for every “Like” received on the GoBowling.com Facebook page during the month of May.
The Bowl For Freedom promotion by Strike Ten, the bowling industry’s marketing arm and sponsorship activation division, is designed to build awareness of the support the industry provides America’s veteran and active duty service men and women through BVL, a national nonprofit charity.
Bowling fans who visit the GoBowling.com Facebook page can download a free game of bowling coupon and donate 25 cents by liking the page. Free game coupons can be redeemed at participating GoBowling.com and Strike Ten centers during Memorial Day weekend.
“With Memorial Day at the end of May, we want to utilize the power of social media to virally build awareness of BVL and encourage bowling fans to support this organization dedicated to helping those who have served our country,” explained STE President, John Harbuck.
Strike Ten centers and USBC associations interested in promoting the Bowl For Freedom initiative can download a digital marketing kit by visiting www.STEMarketing.com. The digital marketing kit contains all the graphic assets needed to promote this BVL initiative through social channels and websites. Centers and associations interested in supporting the Bowl For Freedom initiative may contact Toby Brown at Toby@STEMarketing.com to make a donation pledge. Participating bowling centers and USBC associations that donate to the cause will receive recognition on the GoBowling.com Bowl For Freedom web page.
“We appreciate Strike Ten’s initiative and we are looking forward to a great promotion. I want to challenge my fellow bowling center proprietors to encourage their bowlers to ‘Like’ GoBowling.com,” BVL Board Chair John LaSpina said. “Our sport has always supported the men and women who have served our nation, and every donation helps continue our programs that Brighten Veterans’ Lives.”
