Ciminelli Repeats as Bowler of the Month

Ryan Ciminelli, Cheektowaga, N.Y., has been selected as the November 2015 Kegel Bowler of The Month by the International Bowling Media Association.
Ciminelli won his second Professional Bowlers Association title in as many months, the Bowlmor AMF U.S Open, defeating Dom Barrett, Colchester, England, 236-223, in the title match.
The live televised stepladder finals began with the fourth-seeded Barrett ousting fifth-seeded and defending champion Wes Malott, Pflugerville, Texas, 221-217. Barrett outlasted third-seeded Norm Duke, Clermont, Fla., 259-255. In the semifinal, Barrett defeated Pete Weber, St. Ann, Mo., 218-200, setting up the title match with the top seeded Ciminelli.
After the thirty two games of qualifying, Ciminelli placed third, averaging nearly 223. Helped by a 7-1 first round match play record averaging just over 250, he took over the lead by 295 pins, building it to 331 pins after the second match play round, then 461 pins heading into the stepladder finals.
This is Ciminelli's first major title and fourth overall PBA title. He also becomes the fifth bowler in the last eight years to repeat as IBMA Kegel Bowler of the Month.
