Collegiate Ticker - Feb. 11, 2026

Just one weekend remains in the United States Bowling Congress Collegiate regular season after 13 events were contested last week, including the Kohawk Invite in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.

Fifteen men’s varsity teams and 14 women’s varsity teams competed at the Kohawk, bowling five individual games and 16 Baker games with total pinfall determining the winners.

In the men’s field, Mount Mercy set the pace during the individual portion with 5,754 and carried that momentum through Baker play, finishing with an overall total of 9,208 – more than 400 pins ahead of second place.

Mount Mercy’s Blake Walsh led all men with a five-game total of 1,215 and was joined in the top five by teammates Keegan Alexander (1,188, third) and Zach Andresen (1,186, fourth). Judson’s Brayland Carpenter finished second with 1,198, while Lindenwood’s Charles Burns placed fifth with 1,179.

The women’s team race was considerably tighter, as just 16 pins separated Mount Mercy and Judson (4,876–4,860) heading into the Baker games. The two teams continued trading places throughout the final games, but Mount Mercy secured the win by 22 pins after finishing with an overall total of 7,983 to Judson’s 7,961.

Payten Kusilek of Judson led the women with a five-game total of 1,055, and she was followed by Mount Mercy’s Savannah Dickson (1,021) and Tori Franklin (1,020). Lindenwood’s Elizabeth Rittenour and Mount Mercy’s Gracie French tied for fourth with 1,015.
