The West Texas A&M men and Oklahoma State women emerged as champions of the Southwest Intercollegiate Bowling Conference over the weekend at Heritage Lanes in Oklahoma City.

West Texas A&M defeated North Texas, 3-2, in the men's title match, taking the deciding game 221-176. In the semifinals, West Texas A&M defeated Southwestern Christian, 3-1, while North Texas took down Texas Tech, 3-2.

In the women's championship match, Oklahoma State defeated West Texas A&M, 3-1. Oklahoma State knocked off LSU, 3-1, while West Texas A&M beat Texas A&M, 3-0, in the semifinals.

North Texas took the top two spots in the men's individual standings with Eric Woodward leading with 633 for three games and Robert Wyman second with 625. Jimmy Ewell of West Texas A&M and Eric Thornton of Texas Tech tied for third with 623.

Cori Wright of Oklahoma State earned top honors among the women with a three-game total of 580, with her teammate Dani Comstock coming in second with 542.

In other USBC Collegiate action over the weekend:

- At the Wildcat Invitational in Ormond Beach, Fla., Central Missouri defeated Arkansas State, 4-0, to win the bracket.

- At the CIAA North-South Round-up, Fayetteville State finished with the highest pinfall to claim top honors.

- At the Boulevard Bowl Collegiate Classic in Schenectady, N.Y., the Canisius men and Erie women finished head of the pack in their respective divisions.

- At the Norse Collegiate Classic in Erlanger, Ky., Morehead State topped the men's division, while Pikeville cruised to the victory among the women.

- At the Wisconsin Conference's fourth meet of the season in Milwaukee, Wis., Whitewater narrowly edged Milwaukee by two pins for the men's title, while Madison won the women's division.

- At the Nassau Tournament and Suffolk Tournament, Nassau won the men's division, while Briarcliffe was tops among women in both events.

- At the 20th Annual SCCC Invitational in Schenectady, N.Y., the Rochester Tech men and SCCC women took the titles.

- At the Trailblazer in Terre Haute, Ind., the Marian men and Ball State women picked up victories in bracket play.
