The Lindenwood women and University of the Cumberlands men walked away with victories last weekend at the Storm Eagle Classic in Louisville, Kentucky.

The tournament was held at Executive Strike and Spare, welcoming eight women's teams and 11 men's varsity programs. All teams competed in five traditional games and 12 Baker games, with total pinfall determining the champion in each division.

The women's division was tightly contested, with the top six teams separated by 91 pins after the traditional block. Lindenwood held the top spot heading into the Baker set by just 10 pins but was able to maintain its spot at the top of the leaderboard, claiming the win with a 6,486 total. Cumberlands took second with 6,459, and Morehead State was third with 6,286.

In the individual standings, Lindsey Wilson's Anna Etherington finished with games of 209 and 233 to lead the women's division, posting a five-game block of 979 (a 195.8 average). Illinois State's Maria Kreke finished second with 951 and was followed by Cumberlands' Kiara Abanto (944), Lindsey Wilson's Jacqueline Oliphant (943) and Lindenwood's Alyssa Foster (930).

Cumberlands worked its way to the top of the men's standings during the traditional block, taking a 45-pin advantage into the 12-game Baker round. The Patriots held onto their advantage, recording the victory with a 6,621 total. Lindenwood moved into second place down the stretch, finishing with 6,561, and Kentucky Wesleyan finished third with 6,529.

Individually, Illinois State's Jacob Tolonen rolled 223 in his final game to take over the top spot, finishing with a 1,045 score (a 209 average). Cumberlands' Thomas McNeal was second with 1,040, while Lindsey Wilson's Jonah Anderson (1,017), Lindenwood's Christopher Albanese (976) and Northern Kentucky's Corey Wilson (972) each finished in the top five.

In other USBC Collegiate action over the weekend:

- At the Prairie View A&M Invitational in Arlington, Texas, the McKendree women won the title for the second time in three years, this time defeating Sam Houston State in the finals, 4-2.

- At the Bowl for the Kure event in Douglassville, Pennsylvania, the Adelphi women rolled in Baker competition to lead the way in pinfall.

- At the Hastings Baker Bash in Hastings, Nebraska, the Nebraska men and Morningside women went undefeated in bracket play to claim wins.

- At the Ohio Bowling Conference No. 4 in Columbus, Ohio, the Walsh women and Akron men claimed the top spots.

- At the Norse Classic in Erlanger, Kentucky, the Calumet men raced to the top spot by more than 440 pins, while the Lindsey Wilson women reclaimed the lead during the final game.

- At the Wolverine Hoosier Athletic Conference No. 4 in Westland, Michigan, the Indiana Tech women and men rolled to wins.

- At the Seminole Classic I and II in Tallahassee, Florida, the Webber International men and Emmanuel women swept the top spots.

- At the VHawk Classic in La Crosse, Wisconsin, the Judson women and men paced the field.

- At the Boulevard Bowl Classic in Schenectady, New York, the William Paterson men and Suffolk-Grant women led the way.

- At the Schenectady Invitational in Schenectady, New York, the Corning CC women recorded a 107-pin victory, while the Penn State-Berks men held on for a two-pin win against Erie CC.
