Wichita State dominates Blue and Gold Classic

SOUTH BEND, Ind. -
The Wichita State men and women swept the titles at the Blue and Gold Classic at Chippewa Bowl.

The Shockers' men's team finished with 9,558 to top Lindenwood, which was second with 9,355. Wright State took third in the 59-school field with 9,169.

Notre Dame College's Frank Testa had the top individual total with 2,056 for nine games, an average of 228.4. Dan Lemiesz of Lindenwood finished second with 2,043, while TJ Schmidt of Purdue was third with 2,015.

On the women's side, the Wichita State women had 8,707, while Lindenwood finished second with 8,663. Robert Morris-Illinois was third among the 38 schools with 8,571.

The Shockers' Jazreel Tan shot 1,903, an average of 211.4, to take top individual honors. Jenn Boisselle of Central Florida was second with 1,844, and Heather D'Errico of Robert Morris was third with 1,834.

NCAA: Central Missouri wins Big Red Invitational

LINCOLN, Neb. -
Central Missouri had the top team average with 203.51 to win the Big Red Invitational at Sun Valley Lanes. Vanderbilt finished second with an average of 202.96, while host Nebraska was third with 201.16.

Kara Richard of Central Missouri led the individual totals with a four-game score of 932, an average of 233. Danielle Van Der Meer of Nebraska was second with 884, while Dayna Galganski of Sam Houston State was third with 873.

NCAA: Alabama A&M takes SWAC West Roundup

BATON ROUGE, La. -
Alabama A&M finished with 12,588 to win the SWAC West Roundup. Jackson State took second with 12,202, while Texas Southern was third with 12,099.

Melanie Decarlo of Alabama A&M was the top individual with a 14-game total of 2,727, an average of 194.7. Chantell Jefferson of Texas Southern was second with 2,643, while Shannon Pearson of Southern was third with 2,632.

NCAA: Morgan State wins Lady Bulldogs Classic

LAUREL, Md. -
Morgan State took home the title at the Frederick E. Underwood Lady Bulldogs Classic at AMF Laurel Lanes. Norfolk State finished second, while Hampton was third.

Bowie State's Verra Diggs had the high individual total with 1,228 for six games, an average of 204.6. North Carolina A&T's Sarah Taylor was second with 1,210.

Briarcliffe, Sacred Heart win Soffolk titles

BAYSHORE, N.Y. -
The Briarcliffe men finished with 7,667 to take the men's title, while the Sacred Heart women won with 7,412 in the Soffolk Tournament at AMF Bayshore Lanes.

Steve Schneider of Nassau Community College won the men's all-events with 1,273 for six games, an average of 212.1. Jack Castellano of Briarcliffe was second with 1,245.

Sacred Heart's Jackie Carbonetto won the women's all-events with 1,237, while teammate Nicole Trudell was second with 1,170.

Briarcliffe, Sacred Heart take Viking Classic

WALLINGFORD, Conn. -
The Briarcliffe men had a total of 8,555, while the Sacred Heart women fired 7,886 to take titles at the Viking Classic at Wallingford Lanes.

Briarcliffe's Jack Castellano won the men's all-events with 1,378 for six games, an average of 229.6, while Nick Koch of Suffolk was second with 1,336.

Gina Capone of Briarcliffe won the women's all-events with 1,291, a six-game average of 215.1, while Sacred Heart's Savannah Bientara was second with 1,245.

Fresno State wins Devils I, UNLV takes Devils II

SAN BERNADINO, Calif. -
Fresno State defeated Arizona State in the bracket final of the Devils Dual Invitational I tournament to win the title, while UNLV topped qualifying to win the Devils Dual Invitational II tournament.

In the Devils I event, Fresno State won the bracket (scores are unavailable) after leading qualifying with 7,566. Arizona State was second in qualifying with 7,452. Fresno State's Greg Geering was the top individual with a seven-game total of 1,603, an average of 229.

In the Devils II event, no bracket was contested and UNLV had the top score with 7,557, while Fresno State was second with 7,437. Fresno State's Michael Pixley won individual honors with a seven-game total of 1,625, an average of 232.1.
