The St. Francis-Illinois men and Wichita State women maneuvered through the Baker match-play bracket at the McKendree Baker Challenge in Fairview Heights, Illinois, to secure wins this past weekend.

The St. Francis-Illinois men were one of the final teams to advance into the eight-team bracket at St. Clair Bowl, qualifying as the No. 7 seed after 40 games of Baker qualifying. The Fighting Saints proved to be the team to beat in the best-of-three bracket, averaging 245 in the finals to sweep top seed Wichita State, 2-0. St. Francis-Illinois earned its spot in the finals by defeating Newman, 2-0, while the Shockers made their way into the championship match by besting Vincennes, 2-0.

On the women's side, Wichita State led qualifying and averaged more than 228 during bracket play to go undefeated on the way to the title, defeating Webber International in the championship match, 2-0. Wichita State defeated Lindenwood in the semifinal, while Webber knocked off Mount Mercy, 2-0.

In other USBC Collegiate action over the weekend:

- At the Kutztown Invitational in Reading, Pennsylvania, the McKendree women captured the win by more than 400 pins.

- At the Muskie Mash in Zanesville, Ohio, the Muskingum men and women recorded victories.

- At the Viterbo V-Hawk Invitational in La Crosse, Wisconsin, the Minnesota State men and Clarke women rolled to the top of the standings.
