Erie, Mohawk Valley win NJCAA National Invitational Championships

WILLIAMSVILLE, N.Y. -
The Erie men edged out a close victory, while the Mohawk Valley women pulled away to win titles at the NJCAA National Invitational Championships at Transit Lanes.

Erie totaled 13,638 to top Hudson Valley's 13,574, while Vincennes finished third with 13,559. In all-events, David Zajac of Erie had a 12-game total of 2,691, an average of 224.3, to easily win top honors. Kyle Geurtsen of Vincennes was second with 2,532.

In the women's division, Mohawk Valley easily won with 12,236, while Hudson Valley took second with 11,842 and Schoolcraft was third with 11,552. Megan Mormino of Hudson Valley won all-events with a 12-game total of 2,330, an average of 194.2, while Breanna Moree of CCAC Boyce was second with 2,324.

NCAA: Fairleigh Dickinson wins NEC Meet 3

EAST BRUNSWICK, N.J. - Fairleigh Dickinson went 8-1 in matches en route to finishing the Northeast Conference Meet 3 with a total of 8,651. Sacred Heart finished with a 6-3 record and a second-high overall total of 8,553.

Fairleigh Dickinson's Tracy Ganjoin led the individual standings with a nine-game total of 1,982, an average of 220.2. Adelphi's Danielle Merino took second with 1,833.
