Collegiate Ticker - Nov. 4, 2015

The Lindenwood women dominated the competition, while the McKendree men picked up the win at the Lion's Classic at St. Charles Lanes in St. Charles, Missouri.

In the women's championship match, Lindenwood disposed of McKendree, 2-1, to win the title. Lincoln and Lindenwood-Belleville finished tied for third.

The Lions also dominated the individual standings, taking the top five spots. Amanda Garavet led with a three-game total of 617 and was followed by Casey Goettel (596), Liz Malley (592), Erin Michelfelder (580) and Shelly Goodwin (578).

On the men's side, McKendree defeated Lindenwood, 2-1, to take the title. McKendree defeated Newman in the opening match of the stepladder finals.

Armando Godoy of McKendree topped the men's individual standings with a seven-game total of 1,551. Lindenwood's Kevin Bellandria was second with 1,488, while McKendree's Riley Smith was third with 1,455.

In other USBC Collegiate action over the weekend:

- At the FDU New Jersey Jamboree in North Brunswick, New Jersey, Vanderbilt defeated Arkansas State, 4.5-1.5, to take the title.

- At the Thrashing Tiger Tournament in Houston, Prairie View A&M took the top spot.

- At the Southwest Intercollegiate Bowling Conference III tournament in San Antonio, Texas, the Arizona State men emerged victorious, while West Texas A&M women led the women's field.

- At the Tony Reyes Memorial Collegiate Classic, San Jose State topped the five-team men's field.

- At the American Heartland Intercollegiate Bowling Conference I tournament in Canton, Michigan, the Notre Dame-Ohio men and Wright State women picked up wins.

- At the American Heartland Intercollegiate Bowling Conference II tournament in Canton, Michigan, victories went to the Concordia men and Notre Dame-Ohio women.
