Collegiate Ticker - Oct. 15, 2025

The 2025-2026 United States Bowling Congress Collegiate season ended its fourth weekend of competition after nine events were contested across the country, including the Columbia 300 Western Shootout in Indianapolis.

Twenty-nine men’s varsity teams and 28 women’s varsity teams competed in Indianapolis for six individual games and 16 Baker games, with total pinfall determining who won the event. By the end of Sunday, it was the Marian-Indiana men and Lindenwood women on top of their respective divisions.

The Marian-Indiana men started off hot with a 1,203 team game before ending Day 1 in third place with 6,394, behind Trine (6,443) and McKendree (6,421). In the Baker portion of the event, the Knights stayed consistent and didn’t shoot a game below 187 to take the lead and the win with a grand total of 9,827, over 170 pins better than McKendree.

Lindenwood teammates Emmanuel McPherson and Mike Anderson went one-two in the individual standings, with McPherson shooting a six-game total of 1,425 and Anderson closing out with a 277 for 1,395. Trine’s Blake Attig was third with 1,387 and Marian-Indiana’s Jacob Neubauer was right behind in fourth with 1,386. McKendree’s Xavier Newell closed out the top five with 1,368.

The women’s side came down to the final game as Lindenwood and Rochester were battling it out for the win. Despite Rochester having the second-highest Baker set in the field (3,064), it wasn’t enough as they fell short to Lindenwood by a single pin, 8,764-8,763.

Tennessee Wesleyan’s Bricey Caudill led all women with a six-game total of 1,331 and Rochester’s Sara Ritchie was not far behind in second with 1,329. University of the Cumberlands’ Kailee Blain (1,274), Culver-Stockton’s Rachel Moore (1,273) and Lindenwood’s Hailey Bozych (1,266) occupied the rest of the top five.
