MONROE, Mich. - Brandon White and Chris Via lead the way as Notre Dame College of Ohio captured the men's title a the American Heartland Intercollegiate Bowling Conference I tournament held Saturday at Nortel Lanes.

Notre Dame posted an 8,484 total to edge Davenport (8,386) for the title. Toledo finished third at 8,345 followed by Saginaw Valley State at 8,129 and Wright State at 8,129.

White had a 1,087 total for five games, a 217.4 average, to beat his teammate, Via, at 1,044, for individual honors. Saginaw Valley State's Scott Patke was third at 1,040 followed by Scott Santysiak of Toledo at 1,038 and Terry Martin (1,030) of Saginaw Valley State.

Wright State captured the women's title with a 7,549 total with Marian University taking second at 7,333. Davenport (7,093), Notre Dame (6,992) and Northwestern Ohio (6,755) rounded out the top five.

Three of the top five individual places in the women's division went to Wright State, including the top spot to Erica Morgan at 972. Morgan's teammates, Katie Ruehl (912) and Melissa Klodnick (909) were fourth and fifth, respectively. Shannon Dewitt of Marian was second at 945 while Jerrecah Heibel (913) of Notre Dame was third.

Green River Classic titles go to Pikeville, Campbellsville

CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. - The Campbellsville University women's team had a 5,989 total to beat St. Catharine College (5,896) for the Green River Classic title at Phillips Lanes on Saturday.

Brandee Lassiter shot a 755 for four games to edge St. Catharine's Devona Meyers and Lindenwood Belleville's Aurora Maze (each 740) for the individual title.

Pikeville averaged 205 over its 16 Baker games to top the men's field with a 6,873 total. Louisville (6,735) was second followed by Cumberland (6,416). Bobby Byron of Louisville took men's individual honors with an 857 total for four games with Jonathan Heimann (836) of Lindenwood Belle taking second.

Houston, West Texas A&M bowlers take SWIBC Fall Singles Classic titles
HOUSTON - Houston's Todd Moreno topped Anthony Lavery-Spahr of North Texas in the men's title match and top qualifier Taylor Ward of West Texas A&M beat Louisiana-Lafayette's Claudia Meeks for the women's title at the SWIBC Fall Singles Classic at Palace Lanes.

In the four-game qualifying session, Houston had the top four men's qualifiers for match play - Edward Farber (895), Moreno (830), Sean Sadat (821) and Drew Musch (817). Ward shot 836 in qualifying to top Meeks (724) and Allison Mouille of Southwest Christian at 700.
