Fairleigh Dickinson claims New Jersey Jamboree

HOWELL, N.J. -
Defending NCAA champions Fairleigh Dickinson won the FDU New Jersey Jamboree by defeating Maryland Eastern Shore at Howell Lanes.

In the opening match of the double-elimination bracket, FDU defeated top seed UMES, 4-2. FDU then defeated UMES again, 4-3, to claim the title. Sam Houston State finished third, while Vanderbilt was fourth.

UMES led qualifying with an 8,982 total, while FDU was second at 8,618. UMES' Kristina Frahm topped the five-game individual standings with 1,178 (235.6 average). Tracy Ganjoin of FDU was second with 1,134.

Rock Valley, Robert Morris win Warhawk Open titles

MADISON, Wis. -
The Rock Valley men and Robert Morris-Illinois women came out on top at the Warhawk Open.

Rock Valley topped the field of 18 men's schools with a total of 9,353. William Penn finished second with 9,284, while Wisconsin-Milwaukee was a close third at 9,279.

Milwaukee's Ryan Kohlmeyer took top individual honors with a six-game total of 1,374 (229 average). North Dakota State's Eric Parvey was second with 1,354, while Kyle Bischoff of Minnesota State-Mankato was third with 1,230.

In the 14-school women's field, Robert Morris came away with an easy victory, totaling 8,630. Midland took second with 8,297, while Illinois was third with 8,248.

Brooke Peterson gave Illinois a win in the individual standings with 1,189 (198.1 average). Rachel Schalow of Viterbo was second with 1,163, while Torrie Decker of Robert Morris was next with 1,160.

Fresno State sweeps West Coast Collegiate Team Championships

DAVIS, Calif. -
The Fresno State men and women swept the titles at the West Coast Collegiate Team Championships at MU Games Arena.

The Fresno State men topped 10 other schools with a 11,011 total while UC-Davis was second with 10,791. Michael Fujita of Davis led the individuals with an eight-game total of 1,919 (239.9 average), while Fresno State's Chris Michael was second with 1,815.

On the women's side, Fresno State won the four-school event by more than 1,500 pins with Sky Uyehara's eight-game total of 1,793 (199.2 average) leading the way. Fresno States' Brittney Hendrickson was second with 1,714.

Erie CC men, RIT women win Big Red Invitational

CORTLAND, N.Y. -
The Erie Community College men squeaked out a victory, while the Rochester Institute of Technology women took the title at the Big Red Invitational at Cort-Lanes.

Erie ended with an 8,864 total, just 59 pins better than RIT's men's squad in the 12-school field. RIT's Kyle Keegan had the top individual score with a six-game total of 1,263 (210.5 average), while Eric Dombach of Penn State was second with 1,258.

The RIT women topped the five-school field with 7,578, while Mohawk Valley was second with 7,473. Jennifer Reagan led RIT with 1,137 to earn high individual honors. Morgan Reid of Mohawk Valley was second with 1,108.

American Heartland Intercollegiate Bowling Conference II

MONROE, Mich. -
Four titles were handed out over consecutive days in American Heartland Intercollegiate Bowling Conference competition at Nortel Lanes.

In the AHIBC II event, Northwestern Ohio claimed the men's title with 8,362, while Toledo took second with 8,356. The Wright State women won their division with 7,575, while Davenport finished second with 7,503.

Toledo's Charles Easton won the men's standings with a five-game total of 1,120 (224 average), while Kevin Kachele of Notre Dame (Ohio) was second with 1,085. Saginaw Valley State's Kim Dowis led the women with 964 (192.8 average), while Wright State's Katie Ruehl was second at 961.

In the AHIBC III event, the Wright State men finished on top with 8,254, while Notre Dame (Ohio) claimed second with 7,931. Davenport won the women's title with 7,976, while Wright State was the runner-up with 7,651.

Aaron Groendyk of Grand Valley State took top individual honors with a five-game total of 1,068 (213.6), while Davenport's Dan Pollak was second with 1,037. Northwestern Ohio's Amber Sells was the high woman with 1,047 (209.4), while Wright State's Shayna Kanemoto was second with 1,043.

Webber, UCF take titles in Atlanta

MARIETTA, Ga. -
The Webber International men and Central Florida women claimed titles Sunday at the Brunswick Southern Collegiate Classic, one of the major events of the collegiate regular season.

The Warriors took the title with a 12,663 total, topping McKendree by 160 pins. Lindenwood took third with 12,381, while Pikeville was fourth with 12,320 at Brunswick Zone Austell.

The Knights' women's team earned a 240-pin victory over McKendree with a total of 11,969. Bellarmine finished third with 11,663, while Pikeville took fourth with 11,563.
