Men's competition


Wichita State shot 7,167 during team and 4,345 during Baker to establish a grand total of 11,512, which was good enough for first place atop the 40-team field. Lindenwood-Black was second with 11,194. Newman was third at 10,868. Saginaw Valley State (10,644) and Robert Morris University of Illiniois (10,644) finished fourth and fifth, respectively.

Jake Peters of Wichita State won the individual competition by shooting 1,375 on games of 246, 243, 238, 237, 211 and 200. His 229.17 average was more than 13 pins higher than any other player in the field.

Ronnie Sparks Jr., also of Wichita State, finished second with 1,296. Jay Foote of Wright State was third with 1,272. Mike Snow of Saginaw Valley State finished fourth with 1,248. Matt Washford of Kansas grabbed the final place in the top five; he shot 1,243.

Women's competition
Wichita State was pushed to the limit, but it managed to top Maryland-Eastern Shore by 67 pins, 10,895-10,828, to capture first place in this 28-team event. Webber International was third with 10,781. Pikeville-A was fourth (10,698), and Pikeville-B was fifth (10,691).

Anggie Ramirez of Maryland-Eastern Shore was tops among individuals. She fired a six-game total of 1,273, which was good for a 212.17 average and a 26-pin victory over teammate Maria Rodgriquez (1,247). Daniela Alvarado of Wichita State, the 2009 USBC Intercollegiate Singles Champion, was third with 1,240. Jennifer Wright of Pikeville-A was fourth with 1,230, leaving Jazreel Tan of Wichita State to claim fifth at 1,227.
