Complete 2025 PWBA Regional schedule released

ARLINGTON, Texas – Eligible members of the Professional Women’s Bowling Association and aspiring female bowlers eager to test their skills in professional competition can now mark their calendars as the 2025 PWBA Regional Tour schedule has been released.

The 10-event regional season kicks off with the Greater Detroit Regional, which will take place at Vision Lanes in Westland, Michigan, on Feb. 23 and conclude with the Regional Showdown at Airport Lanes in Sanford, Florida, from Dec. 4-6.

In addition to the stops in Michigan and Florida, the 2025 season will also head to New York, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Illinois, Minnesota, Tennessee and South Carolina, visiting a combination of first-time host centers and past tournament sites.

Returning host centers on the 2025 schedule include Kingpin’s Alley Family Fun Center, Steel City Bowl & Brews, The Cherry Bowl, Cedarvale Lanes, Smyrna Bowling Center and Myrtle Beach Bowl. Vision Lanes, HPL Bowling Center, Landmark Lanes and Airport Lanes will welcome the PWBA for the first time.

Each regional champion will be automatically seeded for match play at the Regional Showdown, while the remainder of the 16-person field will be filled after an eight-game qualifying round that will be open to all PWBA Regional-eligible bowlers.

Those 16 players will compete in round-robin match play before cutting to the top four bowlers for the stepladder finals.

All bowlers who qualify for match play will cash at the Regional Showdown, with additional cash spots outside the top 16 paid at a 1:3 ratio if the number of entries is high enough, similar to PWBA National Tour prize funds.

The winner of the 2025 Regional Showdown will receive not only a cash prize and trophy, but she will also have her entry fees covered for all 2026 PWBA National Tour singles events.

Female competitors must average at least 180 to be eligible to enter a PWBA Regional event. PWBA Tour national champions will not be eligible to compete in any PWBA Regional event, regardless of membership status at the time.

These one-day tournaments feature eight games of qualifying followed by a cut to the top four for the stepladder finals. This format and the reduced entry fees allow players to keep costs down by making it possible to compete without having to stay in the host city for multiple days and incur lodging expenses.

The cost to enter a PWBA Regional event is $100 for a member and $150 for a non-member.
