October 09, 2025

ARLINGTON, Texas – With more than 11,000 teams planning to make their way to the famed National Bowling Stadium in 2026 for the United States Bowling Congress Open Championships, the tournament staff has opened an additional week of squads to accommodate the demand to compete in Reno, Nevada.
The 2026 event now will run from March 14 to July 19. The 122nd edition of the USBC Open Championships originally was scheduled to conclude July 5 and was extended in August to July 12.
The new squads will open to all starting Friday, Oct. 10 at 11 a.m. Eastern.
The 2026 Open Championships is trending toward its largest team count in Reno since 2011 (12,837) and approaching an increase of nearly 1,500 teams from the tournament’s last visit to the NBS in 2023 (9,565).
Reno’s premier resort casinos – Eldorado, Silver Legacy and Circus Circus – will serve as the presenting sponsors and hosting hotels in 2026 and are giving bowlers the chance to save on lodging through special rates and benefits through MyBowlingVacation.com.
Eldorado and Silver Legacy will feature rates starting at $60 per night, while Circus Circus will have rates starting at $49 per night (rates are subject to change based on the selected hotel nights).
Bowlers will be able to save on resort fees, too. Reservations made through MyBowlingVacation.com will receive 50% off resort fees from now through the end of the 2026 Open Championships. Competitors are encouraged to secure their preferred dates (with no deposit required) as soon as possible.
