Dombrowski adds 300 at Open Championships to big year in 2026

RENO, Nev. – Patrick Dombrowski’s wild ride in 2026 continued Thursday at the United States Bowling Congress Open Championships as the talented right-hander connected for a perfect game during his doubles set.

Dombrowski, of Parma, Ohio, had started the series with games of 226 and 173 before making his climb toward the tournament’s record book at the National Bowling Stadium to finish with a 699 series. He recorded the 43rd 300 game of the 2026 event.

He joined Marc Massie of Alexandria, Kentucky, during the block to finish with a combined score of 1,283 in the Regular Division. Massie is the owner of two perfect games at the USBC Open Championships, posting his 300s in 2014 (team) and 2017 (singles).

In addition to Dombrowski’s run to 300, his teammate – Jonathan Cummins of Independence, Kentucky – nearly matched the effort Wednesday to close his singles set, finishing with 299.

Dombrowski collected his first victory and major title on the Professional Bowlers Association Tour earlier this year, winning the coveted U.S. Open in Indianapolis.

The runner-up at the 2024 USBC Masters also has finished third twice this season after strong showings at the PBA New York Classic and PBA Shark Championship.
