Five nominees selected for USBC board positions

ARLINGTON, Texas – The United States Bowling Congress Nominating Committee has slated five candidates for three open positions on the USBC Board of Directors.

Incumbents Karen Jost of Olympia, Washington, and Steve O’Brien of Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, are joined by Jay Daryman of York, Pennsylvania, Lynda Isaacs of Richmond, Indiana, and Jeff Ussery of Tonganoxie, Kansas, as candidates for the USBC Board.

Delegates at the 2015 USBC Convention in Omaha, Nebraska, will vote on the three open board positions during the Annual Meeting on April 30. Each of the three elected will begin a three-year term starting Aug. 1.

The USBC Nominating Committee may slate up to two candidates for each open position on the board. Prospective board members are required to submit applications, and qualified applicants also go through an interview process to determine the slate of candidates. Additional candidates may run from the floor if they provide notice of their candidacy to the committee by March 30.

Current USBC Board members Tamoria Adams and Libbi Fletcher each will complete their final term on the board July 31. Board members are limited to three terms.

Biographies of the slated candidates soon will be available at BOWL.com/Convention.
