Former Ebonite Executive Reid Suffers Stroke

Bob Reid, formerly a marketing executive with Ebonite International for many years, is recuperating in a Nashville rehabilitation facility after suffering a stroke.

According to Bob Gudorf, Chairman of the International Bowling Museum and Hall of Fame, Reid was told by doctors that the stroke was caused by an allergic reaction to medication he was taking following valve replacement surgery.

Reid told Gudorf that the stroke caused damage to his speech, his left leg and his left arm. His speech has come back well — Gudorf estimates it to be “at about 80 to 85 percent” — and Reid is walking with a walker.

While the rehab is coming along nicely, the even better news is that Reid expects to be home for Christmas.
