GEICO will celebrate its 13th anniversary as a primary partner of the PBA by serving as the entitlement partner of WSOB VII at the National Bowling Stadium in Reno.

Reno, Nev., will be the center of the bowling universe as ESPN, Xtra Frame and the National Bowling Stadium set the stage that will showcase the largest field of PBA players from a record 21 countries who will compete in the GEICO Professional Bowlers Association World Series of Bowling VII presented by Silver Legacy and Reno-Sparks Convention and Visitors Authority Dec. 7-19.

The two weeks of competition will produce seven national telecasts on ESPN and 100 hours of digital coverage through PBA’s online bowling channel Xtra Frame.

The PBA has announced an exciting, engaged list of WSOB primary sponsors including GEICO, Rolltech, Silver Legacy Resort Casino and Reno Sparks Convention and Visitors Authority. Participating presenting sponsors are PBA Bowling Challenge Mobile Game by Concrete Software, Storm Products, Xtra Frame, HotelPlanner.com and the International Bowling Museum and Hall of Fame.

PBA CEO and Commissioner Tom Clark also announced that Rolltech, which has provided PBA with enhanced live scoring and statistical data for PBA Tour events over the past two years, will be title sponsor for the PBA World Championship which will culminate with the finals telecast Thursday Dec. 17 at 7 p.m. ET (4 p.m. PT). Rolltech also provides mobile and web applications related to tracking individual, league and event bowling scores and statistics as well as connecting bowlers for real-life borderless competition.

The Silver Legacy and Reno-Sparks Convention and Visitors Authority join the WSOB in the first year of a two-year sponsorship agreement.

After the Rolltech PBA World Championship, the ESPN telecast schedule continues with four animal pattern finals telecasts on consecutive Sundays at 1 p.m. ET, beginning with the PBA Cheetah Championship presented by PBA Bowling Challenge Mobile Game by Concrete Software on Dec. 20. The official mobile game of the PBA features actual tournaments, oil patterns, bowling balls and legendary PBA bowlers.

PBA Bowling Challenge Mobile game has surpassed 8.3 million downloads on Android mobile devices, and has added almost 2 million downloads on iOS and Apple devices which translates into 4,700 downloads per day by Android users and 2,700 daily downloads by iOS users.

The PBA Viper Championship presented by Xtra Frame, PBA’s online bowling channel, will air Dec. 27 at 1 p.m. ET. The PBA’s live streaming digital service has grown 200 percent since 2013, added hundreds of hours of live content including PBA50, PWBA and all PBA national events.

WSOB telecasts will conclude on Jan. 24 at 3 p.m. ET with the PBA Challenge presented by the International Bowling Museum and Hall of Fame, the keeper of the sport’s history, located on the International Bowling Campus in Arlington, Texas. The unique PBA Challenge finals will feature PBA50, PBA Regional and PWBA-PBA Women’s Regional title matches.
