GoBowling.com to sponsor PWBA Tour Championship
ARLINGTON, Texas – GoBowling.com will be a sponsor for the final event of the 2015 Professional Women’s Bowling Association Tour season, the PWBA Tour Championship, which will be held at the International Training and Research Center in Arlington on Sept. 10-13.
The PWBA Tour Championship will be presented by GoBowling.com, the destination for bowling fans and enthusiasts seeking news and information about the nation’s No. 1 participatory sport. GoBowling.com also provides great offers from 2,100-plus bowling centers across the country.
“GoBowling.com is thrilled to have the opportunity to support the PWBA Tour and to be a part of the season-ending tour championship,” Strike Ten Entertainment president John Harbuck said. “The return of a professional women’s tour is great for the sport and great for bowling fans, who will be able to see these outstanding bowlers more often.”
The PWBA Tour season starts this week with the United States Bowling Congress Queens. It is the first of nine tour events in which bowlers will earn qualifying points toward the PWBA Tour Championship.
“I always look forward to competing in the Queens but it will have added significance this year since it will be the first PWBA event in more than a dozen years,” said PWBA spokesperson Kelly Kulick, a two-time Queens champion.
Starting with the USBC Queens, each winner of a PWBA Tour event, provided they are PWBA members at the time of their victory, will receive an automatic invitation to the PWBA Tour Championship. The remainder of the field will be determined through the PWBA points list.
The PWBA Tour Championships will feature a $60,000 prize fund, with $20,000 going to the event’s winner.
