Introducing bowlny.com, the online destination for the Empire State USBC BA

Access to the web site of the 80,000-member strong association now is possible by typing in www.bowlny.com.

"We've listened to our membership and decided that our initial web site address, while accurate in stating exactly who we are, was a bit too long and hard to recall," said Mike Pettinella, Empire State USBC BA president. "Communication to our members, especially considering we are a brand new organization, is of the utmost importance.

"Bowl.com works at the national level, and we believe that bowlny.com will work for us."

Pettinella also noted that the web site's previous address -- www.empirestateusbcba.org -- will also take Internet viewers to the site.

The Empire State USBC BA was chartered in May of 2009, and has made great strides since that date. New officers and directors were elected, representing 10 regional jurisdictions and the NYS Bowling Proprietors Association. Paul Kupelian of Constantia, near Syracuse, was appointed as the new association manager.

The Empire State USBC BA already has conducted a senior tournament, and will be holding a state Masters event on April 3 in Batavia, and the state Open Championships from April 10-May 16 in Niagara Falls and Tonawanda. Bowlers are encouraged to register for the tournaments by downloading the entry forms from the web site.

The association also announced that PBA greats Mark Roth and Tom Baker, along with amateur standout Mike Faliero and bowling industry leader Jack Moran, will be inducted into the Empire State USBC Hall of Fame on April 10 in Niagara Falls. The ceremony will follow the annual delegates meeting in the Cataract City.
