Yesterday was quite the day for the Belmonte family. Shortly after learning that he had joined Earl Anthony, Mark Roth, and Walter Ray Williams Jr. as the fourth player in PBA history to win Player of the Year three years in a row, Jason Belmonte revealed on his Facebook page that an even greater glory was imminent.

"I'm literally moments away from meeting my third child, and now I've joined Walter Ray Williams and Earl Anthony . . . to win Player of the Year 3 times in a row," he wrote on his Facebook page. "The 21st of January will be the greatest day 2016 has."

Baby Belmo #3 did not disappoint, as Sylvie Joan Belmonte soon arrived weighing in at 7 lbs. and measuring nearly 19 inches long.

"Kimberly, Aria, Hugo and I are extremely proud to introduce the latest member of Team Belmo," he wrote in a subsequent post. "She couldn't be more perfect. With all her ten fingers and toes, Sylvie is the final piece to our family's puzzle."

Belmonte started off 2015 with a splash when he became the only bowler ever to win three consecutive Masters titles, then followed up with his second straight Tournament of Champions victory. He certainly has found a unique way to get 2016 off to a memorable start, as well.

Also announced as 2015 award winners were Jesper Svensson of Sweden as Harry Golden Rookie of the Year; Josh Blanchard, Mesa, Ariz., as Steve Nagy Sportsmanship Award recipient; and Ed Godbout of Felton, Calif., who was selected as winner of the Tony Reyes PBA Community Service Award.
