Lane conditions available for 2015 USBC Open Championships

EL PASO, Texas With the 2015 United States Bowling Congress Open Championships about to begin, more than 40,000 bowlers probably are curious about the lane conditions they'll be facing this year at the El Paso Convention Center in El Paso, Texas.

Competitors again will face two different oil patterns - one in the team event and another for doubles/singles - and Professional Bowlers Association star Chris Barnes stopped by to provide some insight about how he'd attack each pattern to find success on bowling's biggest stage.

Barnes is a three-time USBC Open Championships titlist and has conquered challenging lane conditions across the globe, both individually, and as a member of Team USA.

The 2015 Open Championships will run for 128 consecutive days from March 7 until July 12.

If you have a team but haven't entered yet, there's still time. The entry deadline is July 11. Click here for details. If you want to bowl but don't have a team, check out one of the new Free Agent squads, and the tournament staff can help match you up with a team or doubles partner.
