Wapakoneta, Ohio – Chris Loschetter of Avon, Ohio, defeated Jeff Roche of Dearborn, Mich., 216-198, to win the Professional Bowlers Association Central Region's G. A. Wintzer and Son Classic at Astro Lanes Sunday.

The title was Loschetter's first of the year in the PBA Central Region and the 10th PBA Regional title of his career. He earned $3,000 along with his title.

Roche defeated Eugene McCune of Munster, Ind., 259-179, to advance to the championship match. In the first stepladder match, McCune eliminated Ron Profitt of Brookville, Ohio, 247-204. In the second match, McCune edged Brad Angelo of Lockport, N.Y., 239-228.

Roche earned $1,600 for second place, McCune won $1,300 for third, Angelo $1,100 for fourth and Profitt $900 for fifth place.
