McCune Wins PBA Rex & Griffin Bigelow Memorial Central Open

Troy, Ohio – Eugene McCune of Munster, Ind., defeated J.R. Raymond of Bay City, Mich., 211-161, to win the Professional Bowlers Association Rex & Griffin Bigelow Memorial/BW3’s/Nance Construction Central Open presented by MOTIV at Troy Bowl Sunday.

The title was McCune’s first of the year in the PBA Central Region and his 21st career PBA Regional title. He also earned $3,000.

Raymond defeated Dan MacLelland of Canada, 246-199, to advance to the championship match. In the first stepladder match, MacLelland eliminated Aaron Lorincz of Saginaw, Mich., 211-203.

Raymond earned $1,500 for second place; MacLelland won $1,200 for third, Lorincz, $1,000 for fourth.
