Meet USBC Silver coach Bill Hall

ARLINGTON, Texas - USBC Silver coach Bill Hall has enjoyed a long and successful career in the bowling industry, and he'll now bring more than 30 years of knowledge and experience to the lanes at the USBC Open Championships.
Hall, 51, has been named the official coach for the four showcase lanes that will be installed on the second level of the Baton Rouge River Center during the 2012 Open Championships. The event will kick off its 151-day run Feb. 11 and conclude July 10, after more than 60,000 bowlers from all 50 states make their way through.
Hall will be on-site from 1-9 p.m. each day during the tournament (subject to change), and each one-hour coaching session will include game and equipment analysis and tips on how to succeed at the Open Championships. The cost of the one-hour sessions will vary. A one-hour session with Hall is included in the tournament's new VIP package.
Since getting his start as a ball driller in 1977, Hall has ventured into bowling ball dynamics and design, traveled with the Professional Bowlers Association Tour as a ball rep and started his own bowling ball company on two different occasions.
In 1998, his interest turned to coaching and his international coaching career was born. He has coached in Malaysia, Russia, Qatar, Kuwait, United Arab Emirates and Indonesia and helped those teams to more than 50 combined medals in international competition.
Even while globetrotting, Hall found time to start his own coaching company (Next Level Bowling) and coach some of the PBA's top players as well as other international stars. He also writes regularly for a variety of industry magazines, including Bowlers Journal International and Bowling This Month.
