New leaders emerge in Regular Team at 2026 USBC Open Championships

RENO, Nev. – The members of FOF/KPT of Fairfield, Ohio, took over the lead in Regular Team by 100 pins Tuesday at the 2026 United States Bowling Congress Open Championships, finishing with a 3,365 total.
The youthful squad put together games of 1,086, 1,157 and 1,122 at the National Bowling Stadium to roll past the 3,265 posted by Nicholas J’s Pro Shop of La Crosse, Wisconsin, on March 25.
Jonathan Cherpeski led the effort Tuesday with a 757 series and was joined by Richard McCormick (713), Jalen Mosley (703), Israel Pavy (599) and Scott Kramer (593).
Their crossing team – Walking Buckets of Madison, Indiana – moved into fourth place after tossing games of 980, 1,134 and 1,104 for 3,218. Nolan White led the way with a 708 set and was followed by Tyler Ring (682), Jackson Stiles (651), Brady Adler (641) and Charles Adler (536).

Both teams will be back on the lanes for doubles and singles Wednesday at 7 a.m. Pacific. The number they’ll be chasing for Team All-Events currently belongs to Raise the Woof Pet Resort of La Crosse, Wisconsin, with 10,050.
Regular Team features five-player groups with combined entering averages of 906 and above.
The Open Championships is celebrating its 122nd edition in 2026 and making its 15th trip to Reno, Nevada. The 2026 event is scheduled to feature more than 55,000 bowlers and 11,000 five-player teams competing across 128 consecutive days at the National Bowling Stadium.
