Nutrition tips for intermediate bowlers

Bowling center cuisine is no longer about french fries, cheese sticks and popcorn alone. These days, it's not uncommon to find menus that include sushi, gourmet pizza and countless other trendy gourmet options. But no matter what is offered, it's up to you to make smart, healthy decisions.

When at the snack bar or vending machines, avoid items that are high in fat. That means order a side salad instead of fries or a bag of raisins instead of a candy bar or potato chips. It's also wise to drink water instead of soft drinks or alcohol.

Making these changes and substitutions might not be what you want to do, but it's what you need to do if you're going to get healthy and stay healthy all season long.
