Q: What was your reaction when you found out you had been selected to compete in the World Youth Championships?

BH: “When I found out I had been selected to bowl the World Youth Championships I was extremely excited. Being able to represent my country in such a major tournament is a huge honor. I still can't believe that I get to go to Europe to bowl for the USA. I don't think it will really set in until I am actually on the plane on my way there. I can't wait for the tournament to get here, and I hope that we will be bringing back many gold medals when it is all over.”

Q: Besides the competition, what are you looking forward to the most on this trip?

BH: “Other than the competition, I am most looking forward to spending time and getting to know my teammates as well as meeting people from the other countries that will be there competing. I am excited that I get to share this experience with my teammates. I know that we will all have a blast and that we will all become a lot closer of friends after this is all said and done. After bowling in the PABCON in Colombia last summer, I became friends with many people from the other countries. I can't wait to meet all the new people in Finland. I am excited to meet some of the other competitors and hopefully become friends with some of them.”

Q: If you were allowed only two bowling balls for competition, what would you use?

BH: “If I could only use two balls during competition, I think I would have to choose my Resurgence and Burst. My Resurgence is my ‘go to’ ball. I can use that ball on just about any pattern, it's never not in my bag. My Burst is also very versatile and rolls extremely well for me. I feel pretty confident that if I could only have two balls at a tournament that I would be able to be successful with these two balls.”

Q: What are a couple of favorite songs in your iPod?

Rascal Flatts - Unstoppable (Olympics Mix)
Eminem - Not Afraid
Keith Urban - Days Go By
Nickelback - If Today Was Your Last Day
Carrie Underwood - Play On

Q: What’s your favorite motivational quote?

BH: My favorite motivational quote is one that my Dad says to me all the time: "One shot, One Frame, One Game”
