OC VIP program returns for fifth year

ARLINGTON, Texas - The United States Bowling Congress Open Championships VIP program will celebrate its fifth year of giving bowlers a one-of-a-kind tournament experience as it returns for the 2016 event in Reno, Nevada.

The program debuted at the 2012 USBC Open Championships in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and once again will feature many of the perks that have made it a fan favorite each year. Bowlers can become VIPs in 2016 for $229.95.

Participants will receive a VIP performance jersey, VIP photo package, unlimited access to an on-site VIP locker and $25 discount on shipping equipment to and from the National Bowling Stadium through Bowling Ball Express.

VIPs also will have the opportunity to lace up and test their skills at the "Taj Mahal of Tenpins," as each VIP will receive one singles entry to both the Bowlers Journal Championships presented by USBC and The Forty Frame Game.

One of the most popular features of the VIP program will give VIPs and their teammates the chance to put together a game plan during a one-hour practice session on the Showcase Lanes, featuring the team-event lane condition.

Both the Bowlers Journal and practice session will be held on the Showcase Lanes, located on the fourth floor of the NBS, while The Forty Frame Game will take place on the 10 lanes located on the Stadium's ground floor.

The cost of the VIP package does not include entry fees for the Open Championships.

Because certain portions of the program must be scheduled, bowlers are required to purchase their VIP memberships at least 30 days prior to their dates of competition in Reno.

VIP registration for the 2016 Open Championships is open.
