In the coming months, we'll talk with some of the best-known bowlers at the USBC Open Championships and get their thoughts on their time at the tournament and what it takes to succeed on the championship lanes.

This week, we heard from former Team USA (2011) and Junior Team USA (2006-2007) member Bryanna Caldwell, who was in Baton Rouge for her fourth Open Championships appearance April 5-6.

The 26-year-old right-hander competed collegiately at the University of Central Missouri, where she became the first bowler in NCAA history (in any division) to win Bowler of the Year four consecutive times (2005-2008). Her 202.79 average remains second all-time on the career average list.

As a freshman in 2005, she led the Jennies to the NCAA championship match before falling to the defending champion, University of Nebraska-Lincoln, 4-2.

Caldwell still is active in top-tier women's bowling events such as the USBC Queens and Bowling's U.S. Women's Open and keeps her skills sharp by competing in a PBA Experience league, where she recently rolled a Sport-certified 300 game.

This year at the Open Championships, she shot 685 in singles, 652 in doubles and 611 in teams for a 1,948 all-events total. In four Open Championships appearances, she has a career average of 205.25.
