RENO, Nev. –
David Miller and Tyler Tucker of Cocoa, Florida, may have been on crossing teams this week at the United States Bowling Congress Open Championships, but that didn’t stop them from teaming up for plenty of excitement Wednesday morning during the 2026 event.

Miller kicked off the fun at the National Bowling Stadium with a perfect game to close his doubles set on Lanes 49-50, and two games later, Tucker added a 300 of his own on Lanes 47-48 at the Taj Mahal of Tenpins.

Miller, a 29-year-old left-hander, rolled the 18th 300 of the 2026 USBC Open Championships and is the second southpaw to go 12 for 12 on the year.

He worked through a couple of bowling balls trying to open up his side of the lane before seeing the right shape with urethane at the end of Game 2. Miller posted games of 158 and 197 before his perfect finale for a 655 series, and he paired with Derek Beckler of Roanoke, Indiana, to move into the top 15 of Standard Doubles with a 1,266 total. Beckler added 611.

The father-and-son pairing of David and Grant Szynal of Isanti, Minnesota, lead Standard Doubles in 2026 with 1,318.

Making his fifth appearance at the Open Championships, Miller closed with 654 in singles and 538 in team for an all-events tally of 1,847.
