ARLINGTON, Texas - The United States Bowling Congress Queens and Senior Queens will head to Las Vegas in 2016, allowing participants to also compete in the 2016 USBC Women's Championships in just one trip.
The Queens and Senior Queens will take place at The Orleans Hotel & Casino in May. The Queens will be held May 20-26, while the Senior Queens will take to the lanes May 16-20.
The events will take place in the same city as the USBC Women's Championships, which will be held at the South Point Bowling Plaza from April 9-July 10.
"The Queens and Senior Queens are two of our most prestigious events and by having them in the same city as the USBC Women's Championships, we hope it will make travel to those events easier for our bowlers," USBC Executive Director Chad Murphy said.
Both the Queens and Senior Queens feature a 15-game qualifying format before the field is cut for the double-elimination match-play bracket. Defending Queens champion Liz Johnson of Cheektowaga, New York, and Senior Queens champion Robin Romeo of Newhall, California, are guaranteed spots in the bracket.
