Registration dates set for 2025 USBC Open Championships in Baton Rouge

ARLINGTON, Texas – As the excitement builds for the start of the 2024 United States Bowling Congress Open Championships next month in Las Vegas, the anticipation for the tournament’s return to Baton Rouge, Louisiana, in 2025 is on the horizon, too.

The registration dates for the 2025 USBC Open Championships have been determined, with the 121st edition of the storied event set to take place from March 1 – July 28 (150 consecutive days) at Baton Rouge’s Raising Cane’s River Center.

The Open Championships previously was held at the River Center in 2005 and 2012. The venue hosted the USBC Women’s Championships in 2017. The return to Baton Rouge also will mark the first convention-center build for the Open Championships since 2018.

Members of the Captain’s Club will be given the first opportunity to register for the 2025 tournament, starting Jan. 25, 2024. The early registration period will be available to current qualifying members, and captains will receive more information through a direct email.

The online portal will open to all competitors starting Feb. 29, 2024, at 1 p.m. Eastern.

To be eligible for the benefits of the Captain’s Club, a captain must have five or more teams registered to bowl for the 2024 event.

The entry fee for the 2025 Open Championships will be $70 per event, plus an optional $15 for an all-events entry ($225 total for team, doubles, singles and all-events). There also is a $25 processing fee per team.

A new squad schedule was recently announced for the Open Championships, starting with the 2025 event. Team squads will be contested at 11:30 a.m. and 7:45 p.m., while doubles and singles will be held at 7 a.m., 3:15 p.m. and 11:30 p.m. and feature six bowlers on each pair.

The 2024 Open Championships is scheduled to begin Feb. 23 and run through July 29 at the South Point Bowling Plaza.
