Registration set to begin for 2021 USBC Open Championships in Las Vegas

ARLINGTON, Texas - Registration for the 2021 United States Bowling Congress Open Championships in Las Vegas is set to begin Monday at 11 a.m. Eastern.

The event will return to the South Point Bowling Plaza for the third time and run for 135 consecutive days from March 6 through July 18. July 17 will be the final day of team competition.

Captains will be able to visit BOWL.com/OpenChamp for complete information and to register.

In previous visits to the South Point Bowling Plaza in 2017 and 2019, the 60-lane venue has proven to be popular destination for tournament bowlers and their families and friends.

Las Vegas is ever-changing, so bowlers and guests also will have the chance to see what's new in the exciting Entertainment Capital of the World.

The 2021 event will follow the same schedule being introduced for the 2020 tournament in Reno, Nevada.

Doubles/singles squads, featuring four bowlers on each pair of lanes, will take place at 7 a.m., 10 a.m., 5 p.m. and 11:45 p.m., and team squads will be held at 1 p.m. and 8 p.m.

For bowlers who want to take part in the 2020 Open Championships, registration is ongoing. The start of the tournament has been moved back due to concerns about COVID-19 and tentatively is scheduled to begin May 23, running through Aug. 29.
