As the 2011 USBC Queens draws near, we take a look back at two of the most legendary performers in Queens history: Aleta Sill and Dana Miller-Mackie. By the time the year 1983 came to a close, Sill (then Aleta Rzepecki) would own two of the most coveted titles in women's bowling: the 1983 Queens trophy and a singles title at the USBC Women's Championships. The 1984 Bowler of the Year would go on to win 28 pro titles and join the USBC Hall of Fame in 1996. But back in the title match of the 1983 Queens, she faced a player in Miller-Mackie (then Dana Miller) whom she would one day call a fellow Hall of Famer. Miller-Mackie would go on to tie a USBC Queens record at the 1999 event, when she bowled two 300 games and broke all existing scoring records at the time.
