Retro Roll: Lynda Barnes claims 1995 U.S. National Amateur Championship

In this fifth installment of a weekly series taking a look back at historical moments from various USBC Championship events over the years, we revisit the day that Lynda Barnes clinched her only U.S. National Amateur Championship title in 1995. Barnes would go on to demonstrate her great love of representing her country around the world, competing as a member of Team USA for a total of 12 years before announcing her retirement in 2009. Her opponent in 1995, Kendra Gaines, is no stranger to Team USA herself, returning to the team in 2010 after being a member from 1995-1998.
