Splitz Bowling Center in Westminter, Colo., named “Best New Center Overall” in BJI’s 2005 Bowling Center Architecture and Design Awards competition, has been sold.

The center was opened by owner Joe Weiss and operated under a management agreement with Schumacker & Co. According to the Boulder County Business Report, it was sold to Utah-based Fat Cats LLC, which operates centers in Salt Lake City, Ogden and Provo.

New signage was put in place shortly after the sale was completed, and other plans called for a new arcade and billiards area.
