Two-handed, left-handed amateur standout Wesley Low Jr. has been signed to an amateur contract by Storm Products.

When he was 15, Low became the youngest bowler ever to win a PBA Regional title, breaking a record held by PBA Hall of Famer Pete Weber since 1979.

Low, who turned 18 on April 27, recently won his second Regional title in the Earl Anthony West/Northwest Memorial at Earl Anthony’s Dublin Bowl in Dublin, Calif., finishing 166 pins ahead of Josh Blanchard.

Low also is currently tied with Scott Norton and Mark French for the most career Junior Amateur Tour titles at 21. The JAT has been the proving ground for youth bowlers in Southern California for decades, counting Randy Pedersen and numerous other PBA stars among its alumni, in addition to Norton.

“Wesley has incredible talent and truly is a once-in-a-lifetime type of athlete,” Storm President Dave Symes said. “Not only is his style unique in that he is one of the up-and-coming two-handers, but he does it from the left side, which is a rare breed right now in our sport.

“It goes without saying that we feel privileged to have a bowler of his ability, but we’re equally excited as we look to his future as potentially being the face of bowling.”

Although still a teenager, Low already has amassed an impressive resumé. In addition to his PBA accomplishments, his record includes:

• Junior Team USA member for three years.

• Gold, silver and bronze medalist in Team, Singles, Doubles and Masters at the 2014 CGSE World Youth Championships, held in Hong Kong.

• USBC Junior Gold Championships Under-20 champion in 2013.

• Teen Masters Under-14 champion in 2011.

Low has made a verbal commitment to attend a university beginning this fall. A formal announcement is expected over the next several weeks.
