RENO, Nev. –
The members of Team NABR averaged more than 231 across 45 games during their trip to the 2026 United States Bowling Congress Open Championships to secure the lead in Team All-Events by more than 250 pins with a 10,426 total.

The group’s total score is fourth on the all-time list and gives the five teammates – Adam Barta, Vernon Peterson, Scott Pohl and USBC Hall of Famers Mike Rose Jr. and Brian Waliczek – two of the top four scores in tournament history.

Team NABR had sets of 3,384 in team, 3,544 in doubles and 3,498 in singles at the National Bowling Stadium on Friday and Saturday to roll past the 10,169 posted by Armstrong Printing 1 of Naperville, Illinois, on April 24. The 3,384 currently places the group in fourth for Regular Team.

Waliczek led the team in 2026 with a 2,179 total, which places him in eighth for Regular All-Events. Barta sits in the top 15 with 2,165. Rose had 2,057, Pohl finished with 2,013 and Peterson posted 2,012.

Entering the 2026 event, the teammates already had collected 15 Eagles at the USBC Open Championships.

Barta, Pohl, Rose and Waliczek won Regular Team in 2015 and took home both Regular Team and Team All-Events in 2017. Rose (2007) and Waliczek (2022) each own a Regular All-Events win at the tournament for a fourth victory, while Peterson helped Lodge Lanes Too win the 2013 Regular Team title with a then-record score of 3,538.

Peterson joined Team NABR in 2019, and the quintet has placed in the top five of Team All-Events in three of the last four editions of the Open Championships.

They posted 10,538 to finish as the runner-up in 2022 to the record score delivered by DiLaura Brothers 1 of Clinton Township, Michigan (10,585). They finished fourth in 2024 and fifth in 2025.
