January 25, 2010
More than two years in the making, the International Bowling Campus finally becomes an official reality today.
Grand Opening ceremonies for the Campus begin at 2:30 p.m. with speakers ranging from Congressman Joe Barton to Arlington Mayor Dr. Robert Cluck to national bowling leaders. Also included will be the burying of a special time capsule, two ribbon cuttings and a ceremonial first ball roll at the International Training and Research Center.
Following the ceremonies, the Campus will be open for tours of the ITRC and the International Bowling Museum and Hall of Fame. A bowling event for the Susan G. Komen for the Cure will be held at the ITRC in the evening.
The 100,000-square-foot complex is located at 621 Six Flags Drive, across the street from Six Flags Over Texas and near Cowboys Stadium and Rangers Ballpark in Arlington.
