ESPN coverage of the GEICO PBA World Series of Bowling VII presented by Silver Legacy PBA  comes to an end Sunday when three of the Professional Bowlers Association’s levels of competition and one of the sport’s premiere youth events take center stage in the PBA Challenge Finals presented by the International Bowling Musuem and Hall of Fame at 3 p.m. ET.

PBA Hall of Famers, Parker Bohn III of Jackson, N.J. and defending champion, Amleto Monacelli of Venezuela will represent the PBA50 Tour. PBA Tour champions, Patrick Allen of Mt. Kisco, N.Y. and Josh Blanchard of Phoenix, will battle for the PBA’s Regional Challenge title. Danielle McEwan of Stony Point, N.Y. and Ingelimar Beasley of Clarksville, Tenn., will represent the PWBA-PBA Women’s Regional program in one-game matches. Eight players in each group earned trips to the World Series where they bowled qualifying events for berths in the PBA Challenge Finals.

PBA Hall of Famer Pete Weber had originally qualified for the PBA50 final, but had to withdraw because of a hip injury and was replaced by Monacelli, who finished third in the PBA50 qualifying event.

Two of the sport’s emerging young stars, Teen Masters boys and girls champions Brandon Soedarmasto of Levittown, N.Y., and Brigitte Jacobs of Freeport, Ill., will also compete in a Teen Masters Grand Championship match. Each player has already earned a $7,500 scholarship as winners of their Teen Masters divisions, but will bowl a “boy vs. girl” match for an additional $2,500 in scholarship money.

To conclude the telecast, the four winners will participate in a PBA Challenge Finals Clash, a “best-ball sudden-death roll-off.” . In the Clash, the player with the lowest pinfall total in each round will be eliminated.
