PBA Hall of Famer Tom Baker of King, N.C., defeated Steve Ferraro of Kingston, N.Y., 265-175, 257-205, in the best-of-three-game title match to win his 33rd career PBA Regional title in the PBA50 Fayetteville Southern Open at LaFayette Lanes Sunday.

Baker earned $1,600 while Ferraro earned $1,000 as the runner-up.

In the best-of-three semifinal round, Baker defeated Dave Sanders of Blythewood, S.C., 245-216, 194-195, 228-184, while Ferraro won easily over Jeff Schrum of Cherryville, N.C., 198-149, 279-212.

The PBA South Region’s next tournament will be the PBA Bluffton South Open in Bluffton, S.C., April 10-12.
