Track to sponsor Showcase Lanes and BowlTV in 2014

ARLINGTON, Texas - The United States Bowling Congress and Track Bowling have reached an agreement making Track the official sponsor of the Showcase Lanes and BowlTV during the 2014 USBC Open and Women's Championships in Reno, Nev.

The Track Showcase Lanes, located on the ground floor of Reno's National Bowling Stadium, will be home to The Columbia 300 Forty Frame Game and again will be available for bowlers to book practice sessions to sharpen their skills or finalize their game plans for theOpen Championships and Women's Championships.

BowlTV will feature nearly 30 live broadcasts from the NBS and nearby Reno-Sparks Convention Center during the tournaments. The live stream schedule will include defending champions, hall of famers and other top competitors from around the globe.

"Track customers are the smart players, who want to maximize their edge with premium quality equipment," Track Brand Manager Rich Hanson said. "The Track Showcase Lanes in the National Bowling Stadium are the new and exciting destination for bowlers committed to success and the place to enjoy seeing results of their efforts. It is the perfect place to talk Track Bowling."

The Showcase Lanes concept was introduced during the 2012 Open Championships in Baton Rouge, La., and expanded in 2013 with the addition of the 10 lanes on the ground floor of the NBS as part of an ongoing renovation project.

Traditionally, the lane conditions for the Open and Women's Championships are posted on BOWL.com and available for review or download just before the start of each tournament. Matching the oil, lane machine, lane surface and environment are proven challenges, so being able to practice on lanes maintained by the USBC event staff, and so close to the tournament action, has made the Track Showcase Lanes a popular option.

"USBC is thrilled to have Track Bowling support our members with sponsorship of the Showcase Lanes and BowlTV at the USBC Open Championships," said Jason Overstreet, USBC Managing Director of Marketing and Communications. "USBC looks for partnerships that provide added value for our bowlers and enhance the experience of our events. We believe having Track as part of the Showcase Lanes and BowlTV unquestionably does both."

The 2014 USBC Open Championships at the NBS begins Feb. 28, and both oil patterns (team and doubles/singles) will be unveiled during the 2014 Open Championships Kickoff Show on BowlTV on Thursday, Feb. 27 at 4 p.m. EST. The Women's Championships lane condition will be unveiled at a later date.

Teams will be able to reserve the Track Showcase Lanes for $125 per hour, with a 10-bowler maximum. Both the Open Championships team lane condition and the Women's Championships oil pattern will be available, and reservations are recommended.

Details on The Columbia 300 Forty Frame Game will be available soon. For more information about the Track Showcase Lanes, visit BOWL.com/ShowcaseLanes.
