Two Hands Better Than One

Osku Palermaa of Finland, the Scandinavian star with the unique two-handed delivery, saved his best effort until squad 13, the

penultimate qualifying squad, to beat off his challengers and win his place into tomrrow's finals.

Palermaa was helped along his way with a 297 in his third game of the series, leaving the 4-6-7 to the disappointment of many of his fans. He finished his six-game series with 1341, dropping just the one game below 200, a 199, which gives him 18th place in the overall standings.

Due to the soccer on TV, which Germany won, 4-0 against Argentina, there were very few players on the penultimate squad and fewer spectator. Things improve with the final squad where around 36 battle the last chance saloon.
