Two incumbents among slated candidates for USBC board

ARLINGTON, Texas – Delegates to the 2016 United States Bowling Congress Convention and Annual Meeting will vote to fill three open positions on the USBC Board of Directors and current USBC President Frank Wilkinson is one of three candidates slated by the USBC Nominating Committee.

Wilkinson, of Staten Island, New York, is joined by incumbent director Mark Martin of Waterford, Michigan, and Jeffrey Ussery of Tonganoxie, Kansas, on the list of slated candidates. The USBC Nominating Committee may slate up to two candidates for each open position on the board.

Wilkinson, elected president by the board in 2015 after serving two years as vice president, joined the USBC board in 2010 as a youth committee member. He will term out as a member of the youth committee at the end of this season and will seek election by the delegates.

Martin also has been on the board since 2010. He is the association manager of Metro Detroit USBC, the nation’s largest USBC local association.

Ussery, vice president of operations for BowlersMart, is seeking his first term as a USBC board member.

Board members Andrew Cain of Phoenix and Michael Italia of Royersford, Pennsylvania, each are completing their final terms this year, as each has served the maximum three terms.

Board elections will take place Friday, April 29, during the USBC Annual Meeting at The Orleans in Las Vegas. Additional candidates may run from the floor if they provide notice of their candidacy to the committee by March 29, 2016. Go to BOWL.com/Convention for the Nomination from the Floor form.
