U22 Masters and U22 Queens headed to Orlando in 2026

ARLINGTON, Texas – After spending the first two years of their existence in the greater Detroit area, the United States Bowling Congress U22 Masters and U22 Queens will move to Florida and be contested at Boardwalk Bowl in Orlando in 2026.

The agreement will see Boardwalk host the U22 Masters and U22 Queens from May 22-25 in 2026. Registration for this year’s tournaments is scheduled to open on Jan. 5, 2026.

The U22 Masters and U22 Queens, which annually award a total of eight spots on Junior Team USA to age-eligible top finishers, wrapped up inside the famed Strobl Arena at Thunderbowl Lanes in Allen Park, Michigan, in 2024 and 2025.

The inaugural titles were won by Brandon Bohn of Jackson, New Jersey, on the U22 Masters side and Dannielle Henderson of Jacksonville, Alabama, for the U22 Queens.

Bohn successfully defended his title and won his second U22 Masters crown in 2025 while this year’s U22 Queens title was earned by Aleesha Oden of Council Bluffs, Iowa.

While 2026 will mark Boardwalk Bowl’s first time hosting the U22 Masters and U22 Queens, the 80-lane center is no stranger to elite competition as it has been the site of regional and national events on both the Professional Bowlers Association and Professional Women’s Bowling Association Tours, summer events for The National Bowling Association (TNBA) and multiple USBC local and state championships.

The U22 Masters and U22 Queens feature two seven-game rounds of qualifying before each field is cut for bracket match play. Advancers are seeded based on qualifying position into the tournaments’ match-play brackets.

All matches in both tournaments are two games with total pinfall determining the winner. A player is eliminated from competition upon losing his or her second match.

Three athletes in each field advance to the stepladder finals and earn the right to compete for the tournament titles and possible berths on Junior Team USA.

Junior Team USA eligibility will be reserved for athletes who have not reached their 21st birthday by Jan. 1, 2027, for the 2026 U22 Masters and U22 Queens.
