USA Bowling 2026-2027 Regional Tournament Series schedule set

ARLINGTON, Texas – The United States Bowling Congress has announced the schedule for the 2026-2027 USA Bowling Regional Tournament Series, which will feature 16 events across the country beginning Oct. 25 in Akron, Ohio, and concluding May 2, 2027, in Eagan, Minnesota. Each regional will feature two age-based divisions - Under 12 and Under 15.
For the fourth consecutive year, the USA Bowling Regional Tournament Series will award a total prize fund of more than $120,000 in scholarships to youth athletes. The program continues to provide young bowlers an opportunity to compete at a high level while developing their skills and passion for the sport.
Station 300 Akron will kick off the 2026-2027 schedule and will be hosting a USA Bowling Regional event for the first time. Chris James, Management Public Relations - League/Tournament Coordinator for Station 300 Akron, says the center is looking forward to the opportunity.
“We’re grateful for the opportunity to host a USA Bowling Regional event,” James said. “We believe the exposure for the history of the sport and area will be positively impacted and expanded by the youth of USA Bowling coming to historic Station 300. Many people might know us for all the events, including the PBA, that we’ve hosted when we were known as Stonehedge. This event adds to that rich history and makes youth bowling part of it.
“We’re passionate about youth participation,” James continued. “These youth bowlers will bring their talent and achieve new heights, and we’re excited to have them come to Akron and bowl here at Station 300. Youth bowling is where it starts for those striving to become professionals, and we welcome all of them!”
The 2026-2027 USA Bowling Regional Tournament Series schedule is as follows:
Each event will include a seeding round and match-play bracket. Teams will bowl eight round-robin Baker match games to determine seeding for the double-elimination bracket at each regional event. Match play will be best-of-three matches until a winner is determined.
USA Bowling lineups will consist of four players using a modified Baker format. Bowlers 1 and 2 will each bowl three frames (1-5-9 and 2-6-10, respectively) while Bowlers 3 and 4 each bowl two frames (3-7 and 4-8).
