December 07, 2009
United States Bowling Congress Hall of Famer Roland "Tony" Lindemann and Life Member Wesley Kidwell died one day apart in their Midwest hometowns.
Lindemann, a Detroit resident, died Dec. 4 at age 90. Kidwell, of Indianapolis, died Dec. 5 at age 89.

The 1979 Hall of Fame inductee was a double winner in the 1951 American Bowling Congress Tournament serving as a member of the team all-events champion and also winning all-events. He won the 1951, 1952 and 1954 BPAA National Doubles with Fazio and won the team championship with Stroh's in 1952, 1953 and 1954.
Kidwell served on the ABC Board of Directors from 1969 to 1989, when he became a Life Member. As the longtime Indianapolis Bowling Association secretary-treasurer, he was instrumental in helping Indianapolis obtain the 1974 ABC Tournament.
The retired owner-manager of Kidwell Auto Electric Co. and past potentate of the Murat Shrine Temple, Kidwell was elected into the Indianapolis Bowling Association Hall of Fame in 1974 and the Indiana BA Hall of Fame in 1979.
